Banter vs. bullying

Banter
Banter can be described as playful teasing between friends or colleagues, usually an equal and generally funny exchange. Whether it is at school, work or at home between siblings, there will always be comments thrown around in jest. Banter involves people with equal power, where there is no hurt involved and no intent to cause harm
Remember if you would not find it funny if it was said to you DON’T SAY IT

Bullying
Bullying is a behaviour that hurts someone else. It includes name calling, pushing, spreading rumours, threatening or undermining someone. It can happen anywhere – at school, at home or online. It is usually repeated over a long period of time and can hurt an individual both physically and emotionally.
