BeSafer

Who we are

Our CYPVAs work with children and young people aged 4-21 who have experienced Domestic Abuse in their own homes or in their own relationships. They have extensive experience working with young people.

Chloe

Chloe has a great sense of humour and is very creative. She is also into her fitness and runs regularly.  Chloe loves to travel and has many stories to tell about her adventures.

When we asked Chloe what is something we don’t know about you, she replied that she is a qualified Yoga instructor, so the team at Safer are currently trying to get her to teach them Yoga.

Scarlett

Scarlett joined Safer in 2021, after finishing her degree in criminology and sociology at Brighton University. Having always wanted to support people who were going through a hard time, Scarlett qualified as an IDVA and Outreach Worker before joining the CYPVA Service in 2023.

Outside of work Scarlett loves walking her two dogs around the cliffs, taking classes at the gym and baking utterly delicious cookies! She is always up for a challenge and hopes to complete the Saffery Rotary Walk again this year, raising money for local charities.

Our Domestic and Sexual Abuse Education Workers deliver lessons to young people in school years 6 to 13. They also run drop-ins for any young people who require more information or to talk about issues they may be experiencing within their family or personal relationships.

Mel

Since leaving school herself, Mel has worked with children and young people of all ages, from babies to young adults. She is very passionate about supporting young people to navigate the ups and downs of life. She also has a wicked sense of humour and a knack for making even the most difficult topics feel comfortable.

Mel loves to chat and is a great listener, always there to lend a supportive ear and offer sound advice. She also juggles three kids and three cats while still making time for friends and fitness classes.

Linda

Linda knew from an early age that she wanted to become a teacher and work with young people, and since leaving Uni she has gained experience in lots of different areas. Her enthusiasm and passion for supporting young people is an inspiration to the rest of the team and she is always looking for new activities to use in her work.

When she’s not working hard or looking after her two young daughters, Linda can be found on stage in local theatre productions, or practicing her ballet and tap dance skills at weekly lessons.
